Recent sources suggest that Samsung is actively exploring the addition of Car Collision Detection to its Galaxy phones through the upcoming One UI 7.0 update. This feature, originally introduced by Google in 2019 and also adopted by Apple in iPhone 15, and now making its way to Samsung devices.
Car collision Detection utilizes your smartphone’s sensor, like accelerometers, gyroscope, and microscope, to analyze motion and sound data. If it detects a potential car accident, the phone prompts you to call emergency service or confirm your well-being. In case of no response, the phone automatically contacts emergency services and shares your location – a valuable safety measure during critical situations.
While Google and Apple have already implemented this feature, Samsung aims to ensure user safety by joining the league.
