Google releases Android 15 with advanced AI security features of Pixel devices

Google has officially released the stable version of Android 15 for Pixel devices, with the update already available on some models. The update will be rolled out more widely later in the week. Supported older models for Android 15 include Pixel 6, Pixel 7, Pixel 8 and Pixel Fold series devices, thought the Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro Fold will receive the update at a later time

Key features of Android 15 include:

  • Anti-theft lock: Using AI, the device can detect if it has been stolen and automatically lock to enhance security.
  • Strenghthened Authentication: Additional verification is required for key actions such as removing a SIM card or disabling “Find My Device”. Multiple failed attempts result in automatic device locking.
  • Integration with Google’s Gemini AI Model: This helps detect fraudulent calls in real-time by monitoring sensitive words during conversations, further improving security for daily communications.

The update also focuses on improved security and AI-driven features.
