Xiaomi has officially announced the release of its highly anticipated Xiaomi 15 Series, set for October 29, 2024, in China. As part of the launch, Xiaomi has begun teasing new specifications and design features for these models.
The Xiaomi 15 features a 6.36-inch flat display with ultra-slim bezels of just 1.38mm on all sides, providing an impressive screen-to-body ratio. It features a right-angled metal frame with a matte finish, giving it a sleek and sophisticated look. The camera layout on the back resembles that of the Xiaomi 14, with the flash placed outside the camera module this time. People who have handled the Xiaomi 15 have praised its compact, comfortable feel. Xiaomi has also introduced an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, which offers a smoother and more secure unlocking experience. The Xiaomi 15 will be available in a stylish purple matte glass finish.
The Xiaomi 15 Pro includes some additional premium touches. It comes with a Micro Quad Curved Display and the new second-generation Xiaomi Longjing Glass for improved durability. The Pro model is slim, at just 8.35mm thick, and weighs 213g. The design is similar to the base model but includes a periscope camera for enhanced zoom capabilities, and the lens decoration is made from ceramic, adding a touch of elegance. Like the Xiaomi 15, the Pro also features an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner for fast, secure unlocking.
