Xiaomi 15 Ultra Set to Launch in January: A Powerhouse in Imaging and Performance

A recent report via a Chinese media stated that Xiaomi’s upcoming Xiaomi 15 Ultra may debut as early as January, having a high-end imaging system and advanced processing power.

The phone also has a rear Leica quad-camera setup, featuring a 50MP 1-inch main camera, a 50MP 3x telephoto camera, a 200MP 5x telephoto periscope camera (Samsung HP9), and a 50MP ultra-wide lens. The Samsung ISOCELL HP9, used in the 5x telephoto camera, is the first Leica-supported 200MP telephoto sensor and integrates a 1/1.4-inch base with a 4×4 pixel merging technology. This sensor ensures enhanced low-light performance, producing sharp, vivid images with a pixel size reaching 2.24μm.

On the performance side, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra is expected to feature the Snapdragon 8 Extreme Edition processor with a second-generation Oryon CPU. This setup includes two clusters: one with two super cores clocked at 4.32GHz and the other with six performance cores at 3.53GHz. With a significant memory upgrade, including a 24MB total cache, this processor delivers up to 45% improved single- and multi-core performance over its predecessor.

Complementing its powerful internals, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra will also sport a 2K four-micro-curved display and a large battery, likely around 6000mAh. This release promises to push the boundaries of smartphone capability in both imaging and performance, establishing Xiaomi’s latest flagship as a true powerhouse.
